Three Little Words!
We are all aware of the “What three words” app that allows us to identify an exact location which post codes often fail.
I realised that there was a connection between finding a location and locating a find.
My locating a find happened when I explored these three innocuous words, think, belief and behaviour and on a further thirty-two years of experimentation realised that they can and do alter the outcomes positively of both individuals and corporates alike.
A little explanation of the learning journey may be useful here.
Thinking
We all like to believe that what we think is both real and sensible based on our life’s experiences and learning.
What if I challenged that understanding and suggested that our thinking was experiential, nurturing and biased, however not rooted in the factual evidence-based platform that we have come to love and cherish as “that’s me” comfort blanket.
No, I am not suggesting that you have a personality flaw, what I am saying is that your thinking is you and therefore change the thinking and we change the you!
Now that’s scary.
Am I suggesting that the you that you have come to love and admire is not real? Well, yes, the you that has developed is just one version of you and not necessary the best version. Let’s imagine if we could re-think our thoughts and therefore act differently.
What may be the outcome? Well just imagine yourself through thought, achieving more, being slimmer and fitter, possibly wealthier, smarter and it goes on. Yes, is the answer, what we think becomes our new journey of exploration and discovery as the first part of change attributed to “Three little Words”.
Belief
So, if thinking is the platform for change, then belief is the catalyst for change. Whatever we believe in both good and bad becomes our reality.
So just imagine if we could believe in something we thought impossible. Let’s imagine a doubling of performance in whatever way that transpires whether sales target, company growth or just being a better husband/father/wife/mother. Imagine this belief.
This belief alone will not be sufficient to break some limiting paradigms, however, add thinking to belief and we are in with a fighting chance of success, but not yet absolute or a certainty. We require to write down our new belief as an expectation as though it had already happened.
Behaviours
Our behaviours are irrevocably linked to our Neo-Cortex (frontal lobe/and fight flight mechanism). This means, that however keen we are to break this monopoly it is difficult.
This is the reason why changing habits such as smoking, eating, gambling and others is very difficult to achieve as you will no doubt agree. So, changing of behaviours needs a mixture of re thinking, belief and expectation, that what we wish in terms of outcomes is both good for us and has a positive benefit.
Remember you are not what/who you think you are, so why do you behave this way?
So, change the thinking, adding a measure of belief reinvention, while modifying behaviours to suit means that we can achieve the impossible and actually believe that you can.
My added value input to save time and anxiety is to gather up thinking, belief and behaviours and super impose this new expectation in the process called “False Memory Selective Induction” (FMSI) /allowing all the changes to happen almost immediately.
This process has enabled many to achieve impossible possible and companies to outperform the norm by a huge margin.
Anyone for a touch of re-programming without the effort and time restraint?
